Single Table Tournaments
These are normally restricted to 1 table of ten players.

Multi Table Tournaments
In these poker tournaments many can take part. More than one table can begin at the same time. As people leave the tournament and there are less participants, tables are joined until only 1 table is left. Often called "collapsible tournaments" as more and more tables are collapsed into 1.
